Used. The new ones are nice, but I already have the above pictured daily driver. Plus $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Oh I know about your beautiful car, trust me that color is addictive. From what I've seen the E46's are going down in price, and E36's are pretty damn cheap. The E34 M5 remains my favorite BMW ever, and can be had for around $15k if you can find one.

I envision myself as living in a hanger, with a small living quarters, and a large area for cars. Once that dream is acheived, i imagine it will be filled with various and sundry classic cars. The E34 M5 and E30 M3 are on that list, as with a W124 S-class, W140 S-Class, R129 SL, and a Porsche 914.

They're getting more expensive. There was a NICE red E34 M5 down in Chapel Hill last year for $12k with 100k miles. I didn't have any garage space at the time and was more on the lookout for an E39.

I might be in the minority, but I severely dislike the looks of the E39. I prefer the E34 in every way. That being said, if I were to find a great deal on an E39 I would probably jump on it.

I proudly sat in the M3 and listed off the specs as if I owned it. I popped the hood and people started asking me questions as if I were running the BMW booth... 'Twas a proud moment

Scratch the itch. M cars are at a different level the regular cars. Really seems the penny pinchers told the engineers as long as you design all these cars, we'll let you do whatever you want on one model.
